Following on from the spirit of that last post, I'm very late to the party with this, but I only just saw the designs for the 2010 Zombie Safe House competition. Check them out here.

Just had a look at the entrants. I love the steampunk one (of course), but my favourite is the Sears Roebuck. I think this could really work in the US, where so many people have "manufactured homes" which are built in factories and then delivered to your plot on big lorries. If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, these manufacturers could clean up with a few well-chosen modifications to their models!
