If this was a scene from a sci-fi movie then mentally I'd be tutting at how ridiculous it was. Giant holes opening up suddenly in the ground and swallowing people? It sounds like something out of Doctor Who. Well, we should all be glad we don't live on the storm-sodden ground of Guatemala City. I can do one even more Doctor Who-ey, that I actually saw whilst living in Norwich. Picture here and details here. It gets a 'Who vote as its a double decker bus that's been 'eaten'.


If that hole was in Canada where a silo used to be, you'd have a scene from Sean Cummings' SHADE FRIGHT on your hands.
