Wow (and not in a good way)
posted by Emma on May 1, 2009 10:49 PM

I bought a sewing machine last week, and have had fun making small bits of clothing for Ro. None of them fit, of course, but that's the fun of it, right? (erm...)
Anyway, I just came across this website whilst looking for nice fabric. Possible contender for most bizarrely designed website of all time in the whole world forever? Or do you know of worse ones? Click below for just one of the many startling images it features, which has nothing to do with fabric that I can see - just there for the heck of it, I suppose. Perhaps the snowblog should get us some of them.

I'm particularly fond of the wavey millipede thing coming from their phone number. It 'sells the brand'.

I like the pokey hands. Because, you know, when salesmen poke me in real life, I put my money down...

It's Homer Simpson's first website.
Ooh, but now I hope the lady who writes the website doesn't read this. It's no fun if she gets upset. But maybe she knows her website is terribly wrong and is fine with the idea.

Wow, eye-catching.
I mean eye-watering. But hey, if they've got good deals in fabric, I'm willing to bookmark it.

Wow - as in, I have just had my first belly laugh of the day. I LOVE the Victorian poking finger, and the worm thing...hilarious.

But in 1994, it was the hippest website ever.
I adore that flamingo beanie baby for kitch value. Think I'll put it on my own website.
