I have 9 GCSEs, four A levels, one degree and one postgrad diploma and I am at an utter loss to know how I got them since the internet hadn't been invented. It truly is a thing of wonder. Today I stand before you humbled to share the latest internet service that I've been introduced to: issuu.com (thanks Carlton). It's a) free b) gorgeous and c) useful. Go here to see what I mean.

[shakes head]. The internet, man. The internet!

update: a superb blog from an issuu chap. I really, really like them!

In the olden days, there used to be things you could find out useful facts from, and even derive entertainment. They were called books.

If only there was a company still selling them in these modern internetty times.

Oh, hang on a minute...

An alternative - and equally free and brilliant - is www.skribd.com

Anthony. I used to use Scribd. In fact, I still have docs on there which tick over just great, but it's not in the same league as Issuu.

Issuu is page-flipping lovely (and Scribd can sort of look OK) but Issuu wins hand down on the social web sharing side of things.

I've tried a fair few doc sharing platforms and nothing but nothing comes close to Issuu.

I have seven O levels (I think, but am in the John Major category here), 3 A levels, one S level, and two degrees, but I don't understand this. Can we all put our books on it, even the ones lovely Snowbooks has already published by more conventional means? Compassion for the bewildered, please

I am frantically working away to get all the first chapters from all our books uploaded! Yes, in a word.

Ah, thanks, Em, I see now - I was under the impression it was something we had to do ourselves and my technical nerves were quailing.

Sarah - thank you for saying what I was thinking ;)

Looks to me that Issuu has an issue with Firefox - it doesn't work (but is fine with IE).

Nevertheless, I shall definitely be delving into this...
