Call me a cynic, but to me the important difference between the digitisation of music and books is that the former happened despite the best attempts of the industry to stop it, whereas the latter is being hyped to seeming oblivion.

I really don't think we're there yet.


Funny -- I caught him on Future Tense on NPR this morning. He pretty much blamed publishers for being greedy sticks in the mud.
