If you live in York, or are visiting this weekend

**UPDATED** She's found, locked in a neighbour's house when they're on holiday! Hooray! Phew, what a relief! Thanks for your kind comments.

Can you help out one of Snowbooks' authors and keep a look out for this gorgeous cat:

She's been missing from this street since Sunday and really needs to be found now. Note the excellently distinctive nose. Email me or phone me over the weekend (number is here and starts with 0790) if you see her, and I'll put you in touch with the author.

Thanks, ever so. Having a cat go missing is one of the worst feelings in the world. Let's hope she gets found.

Oh, poor Snowbooks author. My cat went missing about four years ago and I was beside myself. He was gone for over a month. I'd begun to accept that I might never see him again, and when I came home one evening, there was an A4-sized piece of paper on the mat, complete with picture of Boddington, saying, 'Is this your cat?' He had gone over a mile away to someone else's house, and they'd kept him safely all that time. I don't know why they wanted to give him back, as he is the greatest cat in the world, but I relate this anecdote as a story of hope.

Oh, what a beautiful cat!

I'm in Yorkshire, but not near York, so can't help with a physical search. I can, however, suggest this method which has helped me find missing cats in the past:

The owner should sit calmly at home and think about the missing cat. Visualise the cat surrounded by a lavender coloured blanket. From this blanket, draw out a thread and use it to show the cat a path home.

The owner must have total confidence that this will work. If the cat is still alive – which is obviously an issue where missing cats are concerned – and if the owner can apply a strong enough focus (but don’t go so far as to make them feel like a failure if it doesn’t work) the cat should come home. The idea is to provide a psychic path for the cat to follow – and it will, if it can. It can take a few concentrated hours, but I've used it twice, successfully, in the past – one cat woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me he’d come home. The other one, I saw running up the path days after I'd given up hope of ever seeing her again.

My best wishes to the cat’s owner. I never know which is worse – the uncertainty of a missing cat, or the sure knowledge that one has died.

Good luck

Dee

Excellent news, i can now make the comment that that cat is sooo photo-shopped its untrue!

And clearly it is a very important point to remember not to have your psychic cat path running through a locked house.

Very pleased that the cat has been found.
A whole day without a post from Em. I hope you are OK.
