Lovely pictures of flowers. Have never seen picture of artichoke growing in natural habitat before. You have enlivened an afternoon otherwise spent forcing myself to write feature about UK pension regulation. Thank you. Oh, and best of luck with the move.

They look more like aquilegia to me... lovely garden, Em. Hope the move goes ok.

Well I was going to go for nicotiana but they don't grow just like that, do they? I mean, they need planting. Annuals, that's what I'm getting at. Does your hubby always garden in a leather jacket..?

I'd have gone for aquilegia too http://www.mgardens.org/FL-HolySpirit3%20MG.gif

Lovely photos! And the house looks gorgeous. Congrats! x

I know them as Columbine.

Definitely aquilegia. Good luck with the move.

Gorgeous. More pictures of the house itself would have been interesting, but flowers are nice too. I too have never seen an artichoke growing in a natural environment...the things that grow wild are astonishing.
