Ooh, look!

An accompanying letter says it is to "recognise the achievements of more than 200 women who have made a significant contribution to business and industry in the United Kingdom". Well. All I know is that this is about the best excuse ever for a new frock. To the shops!
ps I don't suppose you can quite see it, but that invite is on extremely thick card with a bevelled, golden edge! Poor the queen - her stationery bill must be through the roof.

Em, please tell me you won't try to sell the Queen some books. It's embarrassing.

There's something so endearing and comforting about the word 'frock'.
Congratulations and don't forget to do a spot of 'guerilla marketing' by placing the odd SB postcard at opportune moments.

DGR: Day dress, I know! God forbid that should include a hat. My day dress is jeans, no make-up and a series of jumpers which are getting smaller and smaller since the arrival of our new tumble dryer. I will present the options on the blog nearer the time and will look to you for etiquette guidance!
